Get the Word Out!The Get the Word Out campaign commences on March 18th, 2010. Bus Stop Bible Studies is posting 40 panels on the sides of Toronto's downtown streetcars displaying 20 different 'God questions'. The campaign will then rotate the displays through all eight TTC bus zones, 4-weeks in each zone, ending in November 2010. This means that 99.9% of all Torontonians (and many visitors) will get to see these displays this year. This campaign complements the many Bus Stop Bible Studies we continue to post inside transit vehicles. The public is invited to visit the new www.answerme.ca website (check it out for yourself) for Bible-based answers to these questions and interact in a free-flowing dialogue (blogging). Text messaging and a mobile website www.jc1.ca have been set up to cater to the tech-savvy youth. The Get the Word Out campaign is designed to accomplish three things:
The campaign uses the advertising panels on the sides of buses displaying very brief (sometimes only one word), thought provoking questions and statements. Viewers are invited to send a text message and in return will receive a message with web links to specific passages of Scripture (relative to each message) and opportunities for further follow-up. The Get the Word Out campaign is an ideal vehicle to launch Bus Stop Bible Studies into new transit regions.
