Below is some of the feedback that has been sent to the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) and to Bus Stop Bible Studies since we've started displaying our studies:

To the TTC, Re: Bus Stop Bible Studies
I would like to say that I love the advertisements on the TTC for this religious group. I have used them in a time in my life when I was so depressed and really down and suicidal. I called them and spoke with someone who prayed with me. I think it was divine intervention if I had not seen that advertisement I probably would have jumped off the subway platform that is how depressed I was about life. I love those advertisements and when I use the TTC I find myself looking for a car that carries them. Thank God for Bus Stop Bible Studies advertisements. Please keep them coming. D.

Dear DH: I can't thank you enough for your TTC ads. You can't imagine how your ad picked me up and gave me hope. Thank you, thank you!!!!!!! God sure works in strange and mysterious ways and I'd like to thank you for all those people out there who get help from your ads and don't let you know - thank you Lord for moving DH and supporters to touch people and put Jesus on the minds of people. Praise the Lord!!!!! D.

To the TTC: I've been pleasantly surprised to see the "Bus Stop Bible Studies" scriptures on buses and trains throughout the past few months. It has been very encouraging and very commendable on the TTC's part to be able to see such openness and acceptance. I've been taken aback and offended many times as a result of nudity and violence in ads on the TTC, and now this is a fresh change. "Bus Stop Bible Studies" provide thoughtful, encouraging messages and I'm so proud that the TTC has opened this venue for these types of ads. Thank you, R. S.

Dear "Busstopbiblestudies": Thank you for what you are doing. There I was looking up at all the ads that bombard the subway and actually thinking, I wish I had something more wholesome to look at, and there in the midst was a soothing word from God's Word in Romans. I was so, so blessed and deeply encouraged to see His Word speaking into hearts in the midst of the busyness of our lives, for all whom may read, to see and drink. Thanks so much. I will be praying and may God continue to work through you all to accomplish His will. M.

The following e-mails were received just after the first set of study panels expired:

To whom it may concern; I have noticed the last little while the ads are no longer on the buses I take. The Victoria Park, Finch, Don Mills and York Mills Buses??? They must return. The People of Toronto desperately need GOD, The LORD JESUS' Word and Healing!!! GOD Bless. A.

Dear Mr. Harrison: I saw one of the BusStopBibleStudies posted on the back of a bus this afternoon (Donlands north). It was tactful and I think your idea is rather prudent. Since living in Toronto and riding transit since 2000, I've enjoyed reading the Poetry on the Way "ads." They're a refreshing sight, somewhat subversive, amidst the commercial ads that so often display status quo, profane images and/or wording. Although I enjoy the poetry, even better is the addition of verses from the Hebrew and Christian scriptures and short reflections. I look forward to seeing and reflecting on these verses and Christian reflections when riding transit. To our commercially influenced culture, the BusStopBibleStudies are truly subversive, potentially in both life- and society-changing ways. May our God, the Almighty and Sovereign One, richly bless you and your organization in this new work! In Christ, P.

Dear David, (an excerpt) I saw you on Huntley Street last week and tears rolled as I watched. This God-inspired idea of yours really touches me. Even how you were initially inspired by the idea resonates with me, as I have two sons, 8 and 4 years and I can really relate to how you felt you wanted to cover your son's eyes because of racy advertising. I love God's word.....Mathew 6:33 "Seek first the Kingdom of God....." was a catalyst for great change in my life, and I truly believe God's Word on the public transit system is something that could change someone else's life (and eternity). Sincerely, V.

I was on the bus today and saw your sign from Romans 1:12. I am a Christian student going to Tyndale University College, and I really appreciate seeing your signs up when I ride on the TTC. They are definitely an encouragement, both in my own faith and as I consider small ways that I can reach out to others - it doesn't have to be awkward or controversial. Your signs are an encouragement! Thank you :) God Bless, A.

I just became aware of your wonderful ministry about a week ago. I used it yesterday in the sermon as an example of a creative, attractive witness to the good news. So how do we get started? Is it is as simple as going on your web site and following the directions. If so, I can probably manage that. Or do we need to formally indicate our agreement with your values statement before we get started? Please let me know. The reaction of the congregation yesterday was very positive. W.

TTC, I do not take the TTC often as I work in Markham and it takes 25 minutes to drive or 1.5 hours on bus. But, when I go downtown to Toronto General Hospital I do take the subway and buses. I am very happy to see some wonderful, encouraging, uplifting messages around Scarborough lately. The advertisement is placed by BusStopBibleStudies.com. They really make one think about more than just today's issues. Often I see signs of women in underwear, or TV shows like Sex In The City. I remember once last year seeing a whole subway station full of posters for Desperate Housewives. All garbage. No wonder society has so many problems we push garbage in their face. We need wholesome, truthful messages. I'm happy to be seeing that now starting with this Bible based messages. Thank you for posting them. E.
